Book Review - Pebble Lake Review
Woody Lewis has worked with Acquia, Inc. as Senior Technical Consultant in their Professional Services organization, Cisco Systems as Solutions Architect in the New York office of the Media Solutions Group, and as a Senior Consultant at NorthPoint Solutions, where he developed Drupal content management solutions for clients in the media and publishing industries. In 2010, Woody relocated from the Bay Area, where his most recent position was Senior Software Engineer at Chronicle Books. He has worked as a consulting Drupal architect at UCSF Medical Center and Mekanism, a digital studio in San Francisco's SoMa district. Previously, Woody worked at Stanford, as technical product manager on a social media project for the Alumni Association, and as technology manager of the Continuing Studies Program, where he deployed online learning systems. He was also a Web developer at Yahoo!, writing intranet applications. For seven years, he worked as Web consultant with the Maynard Institute, a nonprofit organization devoted to improving the diversity of newspaper management. Woody was a Web solutions architect in an earlier position with Cisco Systems, as well as with IBM Global Services, a digital media software engineer with Digidesign, New Video, and Passport Designs, and a content producer for Viacom New Media and Warner New Media. He has also worked in corporate finance at Citibank and Salomon Brothers. Woody holds a BA in music and an MBA in finance from Columbia University, and an MFA in fiction and creative nonfiction from Bennington College. At Bennington, he studied with Askold Melnyczuk, Alice Mattison, Phillip Lopate, Martha Cooley and Lynne Sharon Schwartz.
